Rock songstress Rosalind in sensational new cabaret

A Dreamer’s Guide to Reality is a sensational new rock cabaret hitting the Melbourne Fringe Festival 2019, written and performed by emerging artist to watch, Rosalind. Featuring all original songs including tracks from her self-titled EP (set to release on September 6th), A Dreamer’s Guide to Reality explores childhood fantasy, living through bush fires, share houses, and dating all spiced with a touch of existential angst. 

With her 5 piece rock band, Rosalind encourages you to find the dreamer within yourself.  Directed by Christine Anketell with set design by David Horne, A Dreamer's Guide to Reality is a must-see at the Melbourne Fringe this year.

Due to release her debut EP on September 6th, the rock and roots songstress is simultaneously gearing up to present her original rock cabaret A Dreamer’s Guide to Reality at the 2019 Melbourne Fringe Festival. Growing up listening to American folk and country music, drinking in the talents of Joan Baez, Dolly Parton and Carly Simon, Rosalind has found inspiration in music greats. Later, she fell in love with rock and now counts Florence + the Machine, Hozier and Lorde amongst her influences.

Christine Anketell has produced and directed over one hundred and twenty original productions including; The Hobbit, The Secret Garden and Wilfred Gordon McDonald Partrich all of which toured nationally. Her opera’s for schools regularly tour NSW and Victoria. 

As Artistic Director of Patch Theatre her work toured nationally and internationally. Christine particularly enjoys working with emerging artists and new work. 

David Horne, graduate in design from VCA has extensive experience in set and costume design, graphics, and multimedia. He currently works as Graphic Designer and Venue and Ticketing Coordinator at Gasworks Art Park, Melbourne.
