Boo! New Australian comedy Ghosted lands at Chapel Off Chapel
After a well-deserved year’s break from theatre, Reiher is bringing a newfound approach that’s been honed through her work in casting and TV production to the stage. A 2 act play, Ghosted follows Oliver, who invites a stranger around to his apartment for some company – and works out pretty quickly that he’s only interested in one thing and it isn’t the wine...
Things go from bad to worst-case-scenario when Oliver’s house guest attempts to make a covert getaway and gets run down by the rideshare he was meant to be escaping in. Before the night’s done Oliver is stuck with the ghost of a bad decision in his apartment - and in desperate need of a way to get him out!
Featured in the cast is Lucinda Cowden (Neighbours) who’s joined by Greek-born, Australian-based actor Kostas Moustsoulas as the story’s loveable hero Oliver. Jayden Popik (previously Owl & Cat Theatre’s resident actor), Holly Chadwick, Max Meaden and Ian Hart round out the ensemble.
Reiher has a distinct vision and energy for the show. Returning to Melbourne’s theatre scene is just as exciting a prospect for the director.
Reiher and Thebridge previously collaborated on 2015’s original work After Party which made its Australian debut at the Owl & Cat Theatre in December 2015 to a sold out season run. During her 3 year stint at the helm of the Owl & Cat Reiher staged over fifty independent theatre productions across Melbourne and the USA as well as directing 29 herself. This is Thebridge’s second produced and staged show.
