Welcome to the world of the terminally indecisive!

After an 85% sold out run at the Melbourne Fringe Festival, The Dark Side of the
Room is back - new and improved! What is The Dark Side of the Room

It's a comic play with elements of absurdist theatre, a bit of slapstick, and a lot of wordplay. Welcome to the world of the terminally indecisive!

One of its inhabitants is Alan Chipperfield. If there’s one thing he knows, it’s that he’s not sure.

London, 1984. Alan needs to pay his overdue electric bill by 5pm or his power will be cut.

The stakes are high as Alan stares down the barrel of a life engulfed by darkness without hope and unable to see where he’s going. And that's if the power doesn't go out!

Who are the creatives? The show is performed by Agata Dmochowska, Charlie Hill and Fletcher Paterson.

It is written and directed by Con Coutis who is also a performer in the show. Coutis is a writer, comedian, and filmmaker studying a theatre and linguistics major at Monash

Coutis has performed extensively with Monash University Student Theatre (MUST)
and the Monash Shakespeare Company (MSC). He has also been studying long-form
improvised comedy with The Improv Conspiracy since 2018.

His short silent film The Unspoken Rule won the People’s Choice Award for Top Screen in the VCE Season of Excellence and was a finalist in seven other film festivals.
